Tilikum: Sadly, No One Wins When an Animal is Confined

It is very tragic that trainer Dawn Brancheau was killed at SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida by an orca whale.  But, this is a sad example of why these and other animals should not be used in this way and sentenced to a life of captivity.  We at Green Paw agree with the many experts who have stated that these animals belong in the ocean, not in a swimming pool.  Very sad all the way around.  This video is of Tilikum.  You can see he is in a tank  much too small for his enormous size.  Read Experts' Theories on Why it Happened.

Meet MARCELO as well as other Green Paw Best Friends.

When MARCELO was only six weeks old, he was dropped off at the pound with five other pups.  Fortunately, he's found a forever home and now enjoys three-mile hikes every morning.  And when he comes home: "He still has enough energy to poke thousands of holes in my hands and feet with his baby teeth," says Leila in California.  But, wasn't that what puppy teeth were made for?!
